LA Noire Info Revealed

Gameinformer not only had a nice looking front cover for this coming months issue, but it also contained some very useful information for LA Noire. The main character in the game goes by the name Cole Phelps, Cole Phelps is mainly a corrupt person (One of many) with the LAPD during the year of 1947. It appears that when you do start the game, Cole Phelps (you) will be promoted and end up being part of the LAPD Homicide. Below is some facts about the game LA Noire, courtesy of VG247:

  • Phelps has not only other peoples issues to worry about, he must face some of his own issues from back in World War II in which he made those issues himself.
  • Throughout the game as a detective, you must solve cases with investigations, interviews, and interrogations. According to a statement in the GameInformer issue, you will not find items in obvious places. Now if you do not get that…it pretty much means you will actually have to find things yourself!
  • Crimes scenes throughout the game are meant to appear natural, and will require the player to find things or even observe key elements with the help of your eyes only. Little bits of information are a big part in the game, you will find the brand etched on the inside of a pair of glassesĀ  that you pick up…so you write it down in an in-game personal notepad. You can also bring these notes up whenever you want.
  • Like Mass Effect, you will be able to pick a certain action against or “on-side” characters during the game. It is up to you to get someone to give you information the easy way or the hard way.

LA Noire will be multiplatform…being available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC. So far there is no official release date, but it will be this year of 2010.
