Battlefield Bad Company 2 is really an overall great game to play, one of the things we did while reviewing the game was comparing many of the aspects of the game to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2…..so in this review you will find out if Battlefield Bad Company 2 is truly a Modern Warfare 2 killer. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The game is officially rated by the ESRB “T” for Teen. You can also purchase your copy at our partners store GoGamer.com for a sweet deal.
Graphics (5 out of 5)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 has been perfectly made to have great graphics and an increased amount of in-game destruction. The graphics in the game seem to hold its “flavor” even when there is nothing but chaos going on. You have buildings collapsing, walls torn down by heavy and small arms fire. And one of the most realistic “changes” from buildings and wall collapsing, or even from bullets hitting the sanding ground or buildings….dust seems to follow in its footsteps. The Dust is dust and the damage is damage, the graphics have obviously improved allot since DICE’s previously released Battlefield Bad Company (original) The graphics in Battlefield Bad Company 2, are just plain out awesome! So why not give it a 5 out of 5?
GamePlay (4 out of 5)
So Battlefield Bad Company 2 is great in its gameplay, but there are some things that will come across your mind. The situation I personally experienced is as follows: I get pinned down in an online multiplayer map, an Apache helicopter comes straight at me, I am waiting on backup to arrive (Tanks, Squad, and Helicopter), The only way for my character to survive is to law down…..ooops, you cant! That right! now as realistic as the graphics are, it just makes you wonder if DICE was trying to make the gameplay realistic as well. Now why wouldnt DICE allow you to lay down and fire, or just take cover? Anyways, other than that, gameplay is great, the controls are easy to get used too if you are not familiar with First Person Shooters (FPS). Great Sound affects from just shooting your gun, to reloading your gun. It all ties in to a great game, I would have given the gameplay a 5 out of 5, but as you know, every soldier must have the ability to lay down, as it extends your in-game life.
Variety (5 out of 5)
Variety in Battlefield Bad Company 2 has been understood greatly by the DICE team. They certainly understood the fact that every player must be prepared on the Battlefield, meaning you must be heavily armed. Because in Battlefield Bad Company 2, you cannot just run around with your little knife and get easy kills like in Modern Warfare 2. Because the Battlefields are greatly sized, and you have tanks, helicopters, heavy arms, armor, humvee’s, and many players with common sense. So I strongly urge you not to get this game if all you are going to do is just knife people, because you will not even make it halfway across the map if so. That being said, you have many types of submachine guns to choose from, assault rifles, sidearms, specialty kits, and tons more. And one aspect of Battlefield Bad Company 2 that really interests me is the fact that you can change your kit, and everything else once you lose your life in the game. So if a certain gun or specialty does not work for you, have no fear, the masterminds of DICE has already got you covered! Variety gets a 5 out of 5!

I’d like to add a couple notes to your review
Sound Quality
In attempting to recreate a realistic combat experience in BFBC2 DICE has also done a very good job replicating the sounds of war in a very realistic fashion. Playing the single player campaign and firing a gun in any of the mountain/valley/ravine levels allows for not only the actual sounds of the gun to be heard, but the echo of the weapon when the sound of firing bounces off the surrounding land. Also the chaos of war shines in the games sound as you often feel disoriented by the shear cacophony of noise all around you. In the online element of the game units take on a more realistic sense by shouting out warnings about snipers, enemy infantry in your vicinity, requests for cover during magazine changes, off colour remarks afer killing other players with your combat knife, as well as remarks unit members make while healing or re-supplying you. Over all the sound truly adds to the recreation of experience in actual combat.
Online Element
It seems every FPS that comes out today has to add an online element that truly sets it apart from the rest. While the sales juggernaut of Modern Warfare 2 has a very large and dedicated fanbase, BFBC2′s online elemnt should not be discounted. It too attempts to recreate an actual combat experience in its now 4 modes (Rush, Conquest, Squad Deathmatch and Onslaught). Where as MW2 aims to make deathmatch as is center of play, BFBC2 looks to make skirmish combat its central attraction. Players enter into squads (if they wish) and attempt to take control and hold predetermined locations in Conquest, destroy (or defend) locations in Rush, or take part in tactical attrition skirmishes in Conquest. Each mode is filled with action as you enter into very large maps (something MW2 does not contain, fight against a variety of enemy classes (snipers for example can take you out from across the map if they are skilled enough, so you stand a chance of dying without ever seeing where your killer is positioned…beware the sound of the lone rifle shot), you have the ability of taking control of vehicles (tanks, helicopters, jet skiis, boats, ATV’s hummer or jeep type vehicles)(something else MW2 does not have), and can fully destroy buildings (a completely original method of killing enemy players). Deathmatch is very similar to that of MW2 on the same maps of the other 3 types of BFBC2′s modes, just on a smaller scale, so anyone versed in MW’2 deathmatch style can easily handle that of BFBC2′s. Basically it comes down to preference when choosing an online game. Some don’t enjoy BFBC2′s way of presenting PvP, others don’t like MW2′s, its simply at the discretion of the player. One thing both games have in common though is stats. Both games keep a wide range of stats so tracking performance in either is well documented. Both also offer a wide range of customization options for those looking to fine tune their setups, although BFBC2 does not contain death perks like MW2 and BFBC2 does not conatin some items available in MW2 like for example the infra-red scope option.

Killer additions, and much needed I must say. I’m giving you 5 GZT points for that.
